The library is open at the following times:

Monday: 7 a.m.-3:15 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 7 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m.-3:15 p.m.

Vision and Position Statement

The Fox Chapel Area High School Library strives to be the center of learning by providing library resources to all members of the school community in order to maximize student learning, achievement and development.

Position Statement

The purpose of the library program for grades 9-12 is to reinforce information literacy skills necessary for them to become lifelong learners.  

The students will be able to identify and use MLA format, reference tools, online databases, and reliable text and online sources for research.  Students will be able to choose and utilize fiction and non-fiction books to improve their reading ability and comprehension.  

The library is relevant to all academic areas with its focus on reading comprehension, reading practice, STEM projects and research.  The use of technology helps to prepare students for future research in high school, college and future careers.
